Urban Records, an independent record label, is perhaps one of the most successfully organized and professionally run record labels in San Diego, CA. Mark Stone, Chairmen and CEO of Urban Records is an up and coming legendary executive who has founded such artist as VMellow, Sundiata, Chanel and Spexxs.

Urban Records began in March of 2002, when Mark Stone set out to establish a company that would be successful in the promotion of all musical genres. Soon after establishing the company, Mark Stone then set off to solicit a team of professionals that would soon, under the guidance of Mr. Stone become apart of an elite team which is at the core of Urban Records success. Aggressively and independently, the Urban Records team began pressing up albums and distributing them to local Music Traders and Tower Record music stores across the county. The team also pressed up fliers, posters and sample CD's to generate sales for the label's debut album titled "The Main Event". Urban Records is currently enjoying their debut release of "The Main Event" along with the success of "The 2nd Annual Anniversary party".

Urban Records is also involved in the birth of a community outreach program called "Urban All Stars". The Urban Team goes into the community, to reach out to inner city youth, with the goal of inspiration. The goal is to motivate the youth to meet their dreams, whether it is in music, sports or business.

The year of 2004 will be an especially good year for San Diego's finest record label. With the upcoming release of VMellow's (the Texas all star himself) debut album titled "Ghetto Scriptures", available this fall, and the special events taking place around San Diego County. The company will enjoy a very successful and profiling year and will have many more to follow.
